Community Guidelines

These guidelines outline the standards we expect all Discope users to follow to ensure a safe and pleasant experience. We ask for your cooperation in maintaining an environment where everyone—both server seekers and owners—can respect one another and use the service with peace of mind. We support your creative activities involving Discope and its characters. When engaging in fan creations (fan art, etc.), please follow the rules set out in our "Fan Content Guidelines".

These guidelines apply in conjunction with Discope's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Please be sure to review them. Additionally, use of this service is contingent upon compliance with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Servers that violate these terms are not permitted to be listed on Discope.

Core Principles

• Respect: Treat all community members with respect, regardless of their background, experience level, or preferences.
• Responsible Conduct: Server owners and moderators, in particular, must take responsibility for their servers and their communities.
• Compliance with Laws and Terms: Adhere to Japanese laws, Discord's terms, these guidelines, and all related policies.

Prohibited Servers and Content

Discope prohibits the listing of servers containing the following content, as well as the posting or transmission of related information on this service. If a violation is found, we may take actions such as suspending or deleting the listing, or restricting account access without prior notice.

• Protection of Minors
  • Servers for users under 13: In accordance with Discord's Terms of Service, listing servers intended for users under 13 is prohibited.
  • Sexual content involving minors and exploitation: Servers containing any sexual content involving minors (real or fictional), solicitation, grooming, or content that promotes such activities are strictly prohibited. Users under 18 are also prohibited from operating or listing servers that provide adult content.
  • Real-world meeting purposes: Servers primarily intended for real-world meetings (including but not limited to dating, sexual relationships, or financial arrangements) are prohibited regardless of age.
• Compliance with Laws and Terms of Service
  • Illegal Activities and Their Facilitation: Servers that involve activities violating applicable laws including Japanese law (such as trading prohibited drugs or selling illegal goods), or content that instigates or assists such activities, are prohibited.
  • Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights: Servers that engage in activities infringing on intellectual property rights such as copyrights and trademarks—for example, distributing pirated versions of paid software, movies, music, books, or games; providing information on how to obtain them; or facilitating the use of content without the right holder's permission—are prohibited.
  • Transactions Using Real Currency: Servers whose primary purpose is RMT (Real Money Trading) or the buying and selling of goods and services using legal tender, electronic money, etc., are prohibited unless explicitly permitted by us.
  • Facilitating Violations of Other Services' Terms: Servers that promote, solicit, or facilitate activities prohibited by the terms of service of other platforms or services, such as the buying and selling of game accounts, are prohibited.
  • Non-compliance with Discord and Other Services' Terms: Servers that do not comply with, or suggest non-compliance (e.g., "no rules," "lawless zone," etc.) with Discord's own Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, or the terms of service of related games or third-party services, cannot be listed.
  • Real-World Gambling: Servers intended for or facilitating gambling activities involving real money or property are prohibited. (This excludes simulated gambling using only in-game currency.)
  • COPPA Violations: Servers that attempt to improperly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 in violation of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) are prohibited.
• Ensuring Safety and Integrity
  • Attacks and Harassment against Servers: Servers that encourage member recruitment, planning, or execution for the purpose of vandalism (raids) or other harassment against specific Discord servers are prohibited.
  • Discrimination and Hate Speech: Servers that contain discriminatory remarks, hate speech, or content that encourages them against individuals or groups based on specific attributes such as race, ethnicity, origin, religion, creed, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, illness, or disability are prohibited.
  • Encouraging Harm to Life and Physical Safety: Servers that contain dangerous content that threatens life or physical safety, such as recommending, glorifying, or suggesting specific methods for suicide, homicide, self-harm, or violence against others, are prohibited.
  • Fraud and Illicit Activities: Servers that include content promoting deceptive acts, fraudulent solicitations, attempts to illicitly obtain personal or authentication information (phishing), sharing information or encouraging cyberattacks such as DDoS attacks, or academic dishonesty (e.g., assignment substitution) are prohibited.
  • Improper Handling of Personal Information: Servers that publish or unfairly collect personal information of others (name, contact information, address, SNS accounts, etc.) without their consent are prohibited.
  • Infringement of Our Rights and Third-Party Rights: Acts that infringe, or are likely to infringe, on the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of ourselves or third parties. This includes the act of publishing or distributing our original characters or content by falsely claiming they are your own work, or using them for commercial purposes without authorization.
• Unauthorized Use of This Service
  • Spam and Nuisance: The abuse of irrelevant keywords, intentional duplicate listings of the same or similar servers, or any other acts that attempt to unfairly gain attention by exploiting the features of this service are prohibited.
  • Impersonation: Server listings that impersonate other servers, individuals, or organizations and mislead users are prohibited.
• Rules Regarding Specific Content (Age Restrictions, etc.)

  When listing servers that focus primarily on the following types of content, please be mindful of user ages and ensure the "Recommended Age" is set appropriately. Additionally, configure "Adult Content" settings as necessary. If we determine these settings are inappropriate or have not been configured, we may suspend or delete the listing.

  • Adult Content (Sexual Expression, etc.)
    • Adult Content (Sexual Expression, etc.): If the server primarily features content containing sexual expressions intended for adults (18+), or if the nature of the server makes participation by those under 18 inappropriate, you must set the "Recommended Age" to "18+" and enable the "Adult Content" setting.
    • Promoting or encouraging sexual content without these settings is prohibited. (Note: Sexual content involving minors is strictly prohibited, regardless of age settings.)
  • Restricted Items (Tobacco, Alcohol, etc.)
    • If the server primarily covers topics (information exchange, reviews, etc.) regarding tobacco or alcohol, for which purchase and consumption by persons under 20 is prohibited in Japan, you must set the "Recommended Age" to "20+". Content that encourages underage drinking or smoking is prohibited.
  • Violent Expressions
    • If the server primarily features content generally considered to contain graphic violence or extreme expressions (e.g., specific movies or games with age ratings), please ensure the recommended age is set appropriately. Content that condones or encourages real-world violence is prohibited.
  • Firearms (Hobby Use)
    • If your server primarily discusses hobbyist firearms, such as airsoft guns, model guns, or survival games, you must set the "Recommended Age" to "18+".
    • Note: Content regarding the possession, modification, or illegal trade of real firearms, or any other illegal acts or the encouragement thereof, is strictly prohibited regardless of the age setting.
• Rules Regarding Public Server Information (Name, Icon, Banner, etc.)
  • Server information publicly displayed on this service (including but not limited to server names, icons, invite banners, and custom emoji previews) must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and must use language, images, and media that are suitable for all ages.
  • The use of expressions or images that suggest or evoke obscene, excessively violent, or discriminatory content, or any other content prohibited by these guidelines, in server names, icons, banners, etc., is prohibited.
  • This rule applies only to information displayed to users on this service's website. Internal Discord server content such as channel names, role names, messages, and the custom emojis themselves used within the server are outside the scope of this service. For issues within a server, please contact Discord Inc. directly.
  • Important: Even if a server is tagged as "Adult Content" or set to "Recommended Age: 18+", the server name, icon, banner, etc., displayed on this service must use all-ages appropriate expressions and media as described above.
• Accuracy of Listing Information
  • When listing your server, please provide an accurate and clear description of its content, purpose, rules, and other details.
  • Do not use language that intentionally conceals content prohibited by these guidelines or misleads users.
  • Choose keywords that accurately reflect the primary content and theme of your server.
• Handling Guideline Violations
  • If you find a server suspected of violating these guidelines, please report it through the designated channel in our Support Discord server.
  • If a violation is confirmed or if we determine that it hinders the healthy operation of this service, we will, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, take measures such as suspending the server listing, modifying the information, or restricting the use of associated accounts (temporarily or permanently).
  • Even for matters not explicitly stated in these guidelines, we may take similar measures if we reasonably deem them inappropriate in light of the spirit and purpose of this service.

Conclusion

These guidelines may be updated without prior notice to reflect changes in legislation or service updates. We recommend reviewing them periodically while using Discope.
