Wideplink (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "our") hereby establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") regarding the handling of user information, including personal information, within the "Discope" service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by us.
Users of the Service (hereinafter referred to as "Users") should read this Policy carefully and use the Service only after agreeing to its terms. By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to this Policy.
Article 1 (User Information Collected and Collection Methods)
In this Policy, "User Information" refers to information related to the identification of Users, activity history on communication services, and other information generated or accumulated in relation to Users or their devices, which we collect based on this Policy. The User Information collected by us in the Service, categorized by collection method, is as follows.
- Information provided directly by the User
- Account Information: For account registration and use of this Service, we obtain the following information from Discord Inc. through Discord OAuth2 authentication (
identityandemailscopes). - Discord User ID
- Discord Username
- Discord Avatar
- Discord Banner
- Email address registered on Discord
- Email verification status
- Server Listing Information: Information that users provide voluntarily or as required when listing a Discord server on this Service.
- Descriptions, keywords, etc. regarding the listed server
- Server owner information
- Inquiry Information: Information that may be provided when users contact us (via the Discord server defined in Article 11).
- Discord User ID, username, server ID
- Content of the inquiry
- Account Information: For account registration and use of this Service, we obtain the following information from Discord Inc. through Discord OAuth2 authentication (
- Information automatically collected in connection with the use of this Service
- Technical information
- IP addresses (may be collected through Cloudflare, etc.)
- Cookies and similar technologies (web beacons, advertising pixels, etc.)
- Device type, OS, and browser type
- Referrer
- Information regarding usage status
- Date and time of access to this Service, and duration of stay
- Server search history
- Information collected through this service's BOT (if applicable)
- If a user adds this service's BOT to their Discord server, the following information may be collected:
- ID and name of the added server
- Statistical information such as server member count and online status
- When a message is sent within the server, only the Discord user ID of the message sender.
- Important: We do not collect message content, voice chat audio, or the account name (username) of message senders through this service's BOT.
- Information collection by the BOT is conducted for purposes such as automatic server information updates, spam monitoring assistance, statistical activity analysis (non-personally identifiable), and service improvement.

Article 2 (Purpose of Use)
We use the collected user information for the following purposes.
- To provide, maintain, protect, and improve this Service (account authentication, displaying server information, providing server join functionality, providing BOT functionality, etc.)
- To respond to user inquiries, consultations, etc. (through the Discord server specified in Article 11)
- To analyze usage, conduct statistical research, improve services, and develop new services for this Service (using Google Analytics, etc.)
- To handle actions that violate the Terms of Service of this Service, etc., and to prevent and investigate unauthorized use (including anonymized information collected by the BOT)
- To provide necessary communication, such as important notices regarding this Service (email addresses obtained through Discord OAuth2 may be used)
- To deliver advertisements and measure their effectiveness (using Google AdSense, etc.)
Article 3 (Provision to Third Parties)
We will not provide personal information among user information to third parties (including those located outside of Japan) without obtaining the user's prior consent. However, this does not apply in cases where provision to third parties is necessary for the following reasons:
- Cases based on laws and regulations
- Cases where it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
- Cases where it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
- Cases where it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an entity entrusted by them in the execution of affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual may impede the execution of such affairs
- In cases where personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business due to a merger or other reasons
- In cases where personal information is jointly used as stipulated in Article 4
- In cases where the handling of personal information is entrusted in whole or in part within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use (in such cases, we will perform necessary and appropriate supervision of the contractor)
- In cases where statistically processed information or anonymized identifiers are shared with advertising partners for the purpose of advertisement distribution (limited to cases where the user has consented)
Article 4 (Joint Use)
We do not currently engage in the joint use of personal information. In the event of future joint use, we will notify users in advance or disclose via this policy the fact that joint use will be conducted, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use for those parties, and the name or title of the party responsible for the management of said personal information.
Article 5 (User Rights (Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc.))
In accordance with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, users may request notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or cessation of provision to third parties (hereinafter referred to as "Disclosure, etc.") regarding their personal information held by us. Users may also request the deletion of their account information and related listed server information through the service's website. Furthermore, users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland have rights under GDPR, etc. (right of access, right to rectification, right to erasure (the right to be forgotten), right to restriction of processing, right to data portability, right to object, etc.). Users residing in California have rights under CCPA/CPRA.
If you wish to request disclosure or exercise your rights under each jurisdiction (including web-based deletion requests), please contact the inquiry desk specified in Article 11 (the Discord server designated by us) or follow the prescribed procedures on this Service. After verifying your identity through appropriate means, we will respond appropriately in accordance with laws and regulations.
However, in any of the following cases, we may retain all or part of the necessary user information (particularly identification information, etc.) without deletion, even if a deletion request has been made by the user, in accordance with laws and regulations.
- When retention is necessary to comply with obligations under laws and regulations.
- In cases where identification information (Discord User ID, Server ID, etc.) related to users or servers who have been subject to measures such as account suspension or server listing suspension based on the Terms of Service of this service is retained for the period necessary for the prevention of unauthorized use, maintenance of healthy service operation, or future dispute resolution. (Refer to Article 6, Paragraph 5 and Article 20, Paragraph 4 of the Terms of Service)
- Among information included in statistical data collected through service BOTs, etc., for information such as User IDs that cannot identify a specific individual or are not linked to other personal information, when it is necessary for maintaining statistical continuity and analytical accuracy. (*This retention will be kept to the minimum necessary from the perspective of personal information protection, and will not be used for any other purpose.)
Article 6 (Use of Cookies and Other Technologies)
- This service may use Cookies and similar technologies for the purpose of improving user convenience, understanding usage status, and measuring advertisement effectiveness. Users can disable Cookies by changing their web browser settings. However, if Cookies are disabled, some functions of this service may not be available.
- We use the following tools to understand and analyze the usage status of this service. These tool providers may also collect and use user information through Cookies and other means. For details regarding the information collected, purposes of use, opt-out (disabling) procedures, etc., please check the privacy policy of each tool provider.

Article 7 (Personal Information of Users Under 13 Years of Age)
This Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not use this Service without the consent of a legal representative, such as a parent or guardian. In the event that we discover we have obtained personal information from a child under the age of 13 without the consent of a legal representative, we will promptly delete such information.
Article 8 (Retention Period of Personal Information)
We retain user information for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of use, or for the period prescribed by applicable laws and regulations. In principle, we will promptly delete user information upon request from the user; however, in cases where the exceptions set forth in Article 5 apply (legal obligations, retention of IDs for prevention of unauthorized use, retention of non-identifying IDs in statistical data, etc.), necessary information may be retained for a prescribed period. User information that has exceeded its retention period will be safely deleted in an unrecoverable manner.
Article 9 (International Data Transfer)
While we are based in Japan, we may process and store user information on servers outside of Japan in order to provide this Service (e.g., through the use of cloud services). Additionally, because this Service may be used by users worldwide, user information may be transferred outside of the user's country of residence. When transferring user information outside of Japan, we will take appropriate protective measures (such as entering into Standard Contractual Clauses or transfers based on an adequacy decision) as required by applicable data protection laws (GDPR, etc.).
- Cloudflare: This Service uses Cloudflare, and traffic is processed through Cloudflare's global network. As a result, user information may be routed through or cached on servers around the world.
- Google Analytics: Usage data is processed by Google Inc. on servers including those located within the United States. When transferring user information outside of Japan, we strive to take appropriate protective measures as required by applicable data protection laws.
- Google AdSense: Ad delivery data is processed by Google LLC (USA) or Google Ireland Limited (Ireland). When transferring user information outside of Japan, we strive to take appropriate protective measures as required by applicable data protection laws.
Article 10 (Modification of Privacy Policy)
We may change the content of this Policy from time to time due to changes in laws, business content, user requests, etc. The modified Privacy Policy shall become effective from the time it is posted on this site. However, for changes in content that require user consent by law, we will obtain user consent by a method separately determined by us. Important changes will be announced to users by posting on this site or by email, etc.

Article 12 (Handling of Personal Information in Advertising)
- We may display advertisements delivered by third-party companies on this Service. In connection with this, such third parties may collect and use information such as users' IP addresses, Cookie information, device IDs, page browsing history, and interaction information with advertisements (hereinafter referred to as "Advertising Data").
- The collection and use of Advertising Data are conducted based on the following legal grounds:
- Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland: User's explicit "consent"
- Users in other regions: "Legitimate interests" of ours and our advertising partners (securing funds for maintenance and operation of the Service and providing highly relevant advertisements to users)
- Collected advertising data is managed in accordance with the advertising partner's privacy policy and is retained for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of use, or for the period stipulated by applicable laws and regulations.
- We do not provide advertising partners with information that can directly identify specific individuals (such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, etc., excluding hashed identifiers). Information provided is limited to statistically processed information or anonymized identifiers.
Article 13 (Cookie Consent and Management)
- In this service, Cookies and similar technologies are categorized and managed as follows.
- Essential Cookies: Indispensable for the basic functions of this service (maintaining login status, security protection, network management, etc.). These are used regardless of user consent.
- Analytical Cookies: Used to measure and analyze the usage status of this service (number of visits, traffic sources, etc.) and to improve performance.
- Advertising Cookies: Used for displaying advertisements based on user interests (targeted advertising) and for measuring advertising effectiveness.
- We provide an environment where users can finely control their privacy settings by using Consent Management Platforms (CMP) such as Cloudflare Zaraz. We also comply with Google Consent Mode v2 and control appropriate tag behavior based on the user's consent status (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, etc.).
- Users can check, change, or withdraw the details of their consent at any time through the 'Privacy Settings' or 'Cookie Settings' links established on this site.
- Even if a user refuses (does not consent to) the use of advertising Cookies, the service itself remains available, but displayed advertisements may be unrelated to the user's interests, or the same advertisement may be shown repeatedly. Additionally, some functions may be restricted.

- We may add new advertising partners in the future. In that case, we will update this policy and provide information to users and obtain consent as necessary.
- Users can disable the use of Cookies by third-party distributors through the opt-out pages provided by each advertising partner, or through the Network Advertising Initiative, AboutAds.info, etc.
- For the purpose of improving advertising delivery quality, we may share hashed (irreversible) data such as email addresses with advertising partners, but only if the user has consented to this (e.g., Google Customer Match).
Article 15 (External Transmission of User Information)
On this Service, we use technologies such as cookies and JavaScript to transmit user information from your device to third-party servers for purposes such as service improvement, advertising delivery, and ensuring security. In accordance with the external transmission regulations of the Telecommunications Business Act, we disclose the destinations, transmitted information, and purposes of use as follows.
