Paid Service Terms

These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as "these Paid Service Terms") define the terms and conditions for using the paid services (hereinafter referred to as "Paid Services") provided within "Discope" (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") by Wideplink (hereinafter referred to as "we").
Users who wish to use paid services (hereinafter referred to as "Paid Users") shall apply for paid services after understanding and agreeing to the contents of the Discope Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Base Terms"), the Privacy Policy, and the Service Guidelines (Community Guidelines) (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Base Terms, etc."), in addition to these Paid Terms. If a Paid User applies for and starts using a paid service, they are deemed to have agreed to all of these Paid Terms and the Base Terms, etc.
Article 1 (Scope of Application)
- These Paid Terms apply to all relationships concerning the use of our paid services by Paid Users.
- In the event of any contradiction or conflict between the provisions of these Paid Terms and the Base Terms, etc., the provisions of these Paid Terms shall take precedence as far as paid services are concerned. For all other matters, the Base Terms, etc. shall apply.
Article 2 (Contents of Paid Services)
- We provide Paid Users with additional functions and benefits (hereinafter referred to as "Paid Services") in a subscription format to improve the experience of using our services. Paid Services are optional, and the basic functions of our services are available free of charge.
- Paid Services are provided under the following plan structure.
- Joiner Pro: A plan for users searching for servers (ad-free experience, cloud bookmarks, advanced search functions, etc.)
- Server Basic: A plan for owners who want to enhance their server listings (includes ad removal, custom emoji display, analytics, etc.)
- Server Pro: A plan for owners who require advanced analysis (includes all Server Basic features plus premium analytics, unlimited history, etc.)
- Joiner Basic Bundle: A bundle plan that provides access to all features of both Joiner Pro and Server Basic.
- Power Bundle: A bundle plan that provides access to all features of both Joiner Pro and Server Pro.
- The latest and most detailed information regarding our paid services, including features, terms of use, and benefits, is displayed on the Subscription Plans page (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan Page") within our service. Please ensure you review the Plan Page before subscribing.
- Our paid services have no impact on server search rankings. Search rankings are determined purely based on activity scores.
- We reserve the right to change, add, or discontinue our paid service content upon prior notice to paid users. In principle, such changes will be announced on the Plan Page within our service. However, for changes that significantly disadvantage paid users, we will provide notice with a reasonable notice period.
Article 3 (Application for Use)
- Users who wish to use the Paid Services shall agree to these Paid Service Terms and the Base Terms, etc., and apply for use in accordance with the method prescribed by us (such as the application page within this Service).
- When applying, users shall provide true and accurate information.
- A contract for the use of Paid Services shall be established when we accept the application and the payment of the initial usage fee specified in Article 4 is completed.
- We may not accept an application for use if any of the following apply. Even if we do not accept it, we are under no obligation to disclose the reason.
- If there is any falsehood, clerical error, or omission in the application details
- If the user has violated the Base Terms, etc., or these Paid Service Terms in the past
- If the user is currently subject to, or has previously been subject to, Account Suspension, etc. as stipulated in Article 21 of the Base Terms.
- If the use of the payment method has been suspended
- In any other cases where we determine the provision of Paid Services to be inappropriate
Article 4 (Usage Fees and Payment Methods)
- Usage fees for our paid services (hereinafter referred to as "Usage Fees") shall be subscription-based (monthly, including tax) as follows:Please check our subscription plans page for detailed features and benefits.
Plans Japan International Joiner Pro ¥300 / 月 $3.99 / 月 Server Basic ¥300 / 月 $3.99 / 月 Server Pro ¥600 / 月 $7.99 / 月 Joiner Basic Bundle ¥550 / 月 $6.99 / 月 Power Bundle ¥800 / 月 $10.99 / 月 - Payment methods shall be credit card payments through our designated payment processor, 'Stripe,' or other payment methods supported by Stripe. Please check available payment methods on the application page. Paid users must provide valid and usable payment information for the Service.
- By providing a payment method, paid users authorize us to continuously charge the usage fees (including applicable taxes and fees) incurred under these Paid Terms to the provided payment method.
- Usage fees are first charged on the date the usage contract is established (the 'Billing Start Date'). Thereafter, fees for the following month are automatically charged each month on the date corresponding to the Billing Start Date (the 'Renewal Date').
- Full monthly usage fees apply even if a contract starts or ends mid-month; no pro-rata calculations are performed.
- Paid users must keep their Stripe account or payment method information current and valid. If a payment fails, we may suspend the provision of paid services.
- Payment processing is conducted through Stripe, our payment processor. We use payment-related information (transaction history, payment status, etc.) to process payments, notify users of billing, prevent fraud, and provide support. This information may be shared with Stripe and other financial institutions or payment service providers as necessary. Detailed credit card information is securely managed by Stripe; we do not store this data directly, except for information necessary for billing and support (e.g., the last four digits and expiration date). For details on how payment information is handled, please refer to our Privacy Policy and Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- We may change usage fees due to economic fluctuations, changes in service content, or other factors. If fees are changed, we will notify you at least 30 days before the effective date through methods we deem appropriate, such as in-service announcements or email notifications to paid users. The revised fees will apply from the first renewal date following the notification.
Article 5 (Contract Period & Automatic Renewal)
- The contract period for Paid Services is one month starting from the billing start date.
- Unless the Paid User completes the cancellation procedure specified in the next Article by the expiration date, the contract will automatically renew for another month under the same terms, and the same shall apply thereafter.
Article 6 (Cancellation)
- If a Paid User wishes to cancel the Paid Services or change plans, they must complete the cancellation or change procedure via the Stripe customer portal (or similar) from the designated page within our Service by the day before the next renewal date. We will provide specific instructions within our Service.
- Once the cancellation procedure is completed, the contract will terminate upon expiration of the current period, and no further fees will be charged.
- Plan upgrades (changing to a higher tier) are applied immediately, and the difference will be charged. Plan downgrades (changing to a lower tier) will be applied after the current contract period ends.
- Even if cancelled during the contract period, Paid Services remain available until the expiration date. We do not provide pro-rated calculations or refunds (see Article 7).
- If cancellation or appropriate plan change procedures are not performed, the contract will automatically renew, and usage fees will be incurred.
Article 7 (Refunds)
We do not provide any refunds for fees already paid by Paid Users, regardless of the reason. However, this does not apply if the Paid Service was unavailable due to our willful intent or gross negligence, or where a refund is required by law.
Article 8 (Prohibited Acts)
When using the Paid Services, Paid Users shall not engage in the following acts, in addition to the prohibited acts defined in Article 9 of the Base Terms.
- Transferring, lending, selling, or providing as collateral any rights obtained through the Paid Services (e.g., subscription benefits, access to premium features) to a third party without our permission.
- Sharing or reselling access rights to analytics data with a third party.
- Attempting to share ad-free status across multiple accounts.
- Creating multiple accounts to unfairly utilize introductory discount prices repeatedly.
- Any other acts that interfere with, or are likely to interfere with, the operation of the Paid Services.
Article 9 (Suspension, Modification, and Termination of Services)
- We may temporarily suspend the provision of Paid Services based on grounds specified in Article 20 of the Base Terms.
- We may modify the content of or terminate Paid Services due to business reasons, legal changes, or service reviews. In the event of termination, we will generally notify Paid Users at least 30 days in advance.
- We are generally not liable for any damages incurred by Paid Users under the preceding two paragraphs, except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence. The handling of fees upon service termination may be specified separately.
Article 10 (Disclaimer)
- We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the fitness of Paid Services for a particular purpose, expected functionality or value, uninterrupted operation, or absence of defects.
- We assume no liability for disputes between Paid Users and third parties arising from the use of Paid Services.
- Otherwise, the disclaimers regarding Paid Services are governed by Articles 16 and 17 of the Base Terms.
Article 11 (Modification of these Terms)
- We may modify these Paid Service Terms at our discretion without prior consent from Paid Users.
- When modifying these Terms, we will notify users of the effective date and details via the Service, email, or other methods we deem appropriate.
- Modified Terms take effect from the announced date. Continued use of the Paid Services after this date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Article 12 (Relationship with General Terms)
Any matters not explicitly addressed in these Paid Service Terms shall be governed by our General Terms of Service.
