Derivative Works Guidelines
『めいちゃん』について
「めいちゃん」は私たちのオリジナルキャラクターです。このページでは、めいちゃんに関する創作作品を制作する際のガイドラインをご紹介します。

Introduction
Thank you for always supporting Discope and our original character, "Mei". The fan activities (derivative works) from all of you who love Discope and "Mei" are a great source of joy and encouragement for us at Discope.
These guidelines outline the rules and requests for derivative works, established by our Group, to ensure that everyone can enjoy fan activities safely and to protect the image of Discope and "Mei".
When engaging in derivative work activities, we ask for your understanding and cooperation in complying with these guidelines.
Regarding Copyright
All intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks, related to content associated with Discope and the original character "Mei" (hereinafter collectively referred to as "the Original Content, etc.") belong exclusively to our Group, Discope.
These guidelines do not transfer these rights to users. Please understand this point when enjoying your derivative work activities.
Regarding Guideline Updates
These guidelines may be changed without notice in response to the status of fan activities, changes in relevant laws, etc. When engaging in derivative work activities, please periodically check the latest guidelines.
What is Permitted as Derivative Work Activity
You may create and publish derivative works of the Original Content, etc., only if all of the following conditions are met:
Non-Commercial Purpose
Activities must be within the scope of a personal hobby and should not aim to directly or indirectly generate profit or remuneration.
Individual or Uncompensated Fan Activity
Use by corporations or activities involving financial compensation (such as paid commissions) are not covered.
Platform for Publication
Publication on SNS accounts managed by yourself, personal websites, blogs, illustration posting sites (such as Pixiv, Twitter), and other platforms generally recognized as venues for fan activities.
Prohibited Activities (Please Observe These Rules)
While we wish to respect your free creative activities, the following acts are prohibited to protect Discope, "Mei", and the entire community. If a violation is confirmed, we may request the removal of the work or take measures based on the Discope Terms of Service (such as account use restrictions).
Infringement of Rights / Misrepresentation of Originality
- Redistributing or selling the Original Content, etc. (official illustrations, logos, etc.) as is, or with only minor modifications.
- Publishing or distributing derivative works you created as if they were your own original work (claiming it as your original).
- Acts that infringe or may infringe upon the copyrights, honor, credibility, privacy, or other rights of our Group or third parties.
Inappropriate Expressions / Use
- Expressions or uses that our Group deems to significantly damage the brand image, worldview, or character image of the Original Content, etc., or Discope (e.g., excessively violent, grotesque, or sexual depictions; hate speech; defamation).
- Use for expressing or promoting specific ideologies, religions, or political beliefs.
- Use in content that is contrary to public order and morals.
Significant Alteration of Character Settings
Please refrain from making alterations to the fundamental character settings of "Mei" (personality, appearance, background story, etc.) that significantly deviate from or negate the original image. We respect your interpretations of the character, but please treat the core settings with care.
Use for AI Learning
Using the Original Content, etc., or derivative works based on them, as training data for Artificial Intelligence (AI), or providing them to AI-related services.
Commercial Use
- Any act of directly or indirectly obtaining financial profit using derivative works. (e.g., creating and selling merchandise, paid illustration/writing commissions, use on ad-supported sites, use of digital content for sale, use of tipping/donation features, etc.)
- ※Distribution of fan-made publications (doujinshi), whether paid or unpaid, is also prohibited in principle at this time, as it is difficult to distinguish between commercial and non-commercial intent. (We will announce separately if this rule changes in the future.)
Causing Confusion with Official Content
Using expressions or designs that may mislead users into believing the work is an official creation or service of our Group.
Regarding Credit Notation When Publishing (Optional Request)
