Effective Date: 2025/05/01
These Paid Services Terms (hereinafter referred to as "these Paid Terms") set forth the terms and conditions for the use of paid services (hereinafter referred to as "Paid Services") offered in connection with the Discord server list service "Discope" (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") provided by Wideplink (hereinafter referred to as "our Group").
Users wishing to use Paid Services (hereinafter referred to as "Paid Users") must understand and agree to the contents of these Paid Terms, as well as the Discope Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "Base Terms"), Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Base Terms, etc."), before applying for Paid Services. If a Paid User applies for and begins using Paid Services, they are deemed to have agreed to all of these Paid Terms and the Base Terms, etc.
Article 1 (Scope of Application)
- These Paid Terms shall apply to all relationships concerning the use of Paid Services by Paid Users.
- In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the provisions of these Paid Terms and the provisions of the Base Terms, etc., the provisions of these Paid Terms shall prevail with respect to Paid Services. For matters not stipulated in these Paid Terms, the Base Terms, etc., shall apply.
Article 2 (Content of Paid Services)
- Our Group provides optional features to enhance the user experience of the Service to Paid Users in a subscription format (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Paid Services"). Paid Services are optional, and the basic functions of the Service can be used free of charge.
- Examples of the main content of Paid Services are as follows but are not limited to these:
- Multi-language display function for server information.
- Function to publicly display (feature) custom emojis.
- Additional settings to restrict invites.
- The latest and detailed content, features, terms of use, and tiers of benefits for Paid Services will be displayed on the relevant pages within the Service, such as the subscription information page, account settings page, or help page (hereinafter referred to as "Relevant Pages"). Please be sure to check the Relevant Pages before applying.
- Our Group may, with prior notice to Paid Users, change, add, or abolish the content of Paid Services. When making such changes, etc., we will, in principle, announce them on the Relevant Pages, etc., within the Service. However, in the case of changes that significantly disadvantage Paid Users, we will provide notice with a reasonable notice period.
Article 3 (Application for Use)
- Users wishing to use Paid Services shall agree to these Paid Terms and the Base Terms, etc., and apply for use in accordance with the method prescribed by our Group (such as the application page within the Service).
- Users shall provide true and accurate information when applying.
- A contract for the use of Paid Services shall be established when our Group accepts the application and the payment of the initial usage fee stipulated in Article 4 is completed.
- Our Group may not accept an application for use if any of the following apply. Even if an application is not accepted, our Group is not obligated to disclose the reason.
- If there are false statements, errors, or omissions in the application details.
- If the User has previously violated the Base Terms, etc., or these Paid Terms.
- If the User is currently or has previously been subject to account suspension or other measures as stipulated in Article 21 of the Base Terms.
- If the User's payment method is suspended.
- In any other cases where our Group deems the provision of Paid Services inappropriate.
Article 4 (Usage Fees and Payment Method)
- The usage fees for Paid Services (hereinafter referred to as "Usage Fees") shall be on a subscription (monthly, consumption tax included) basis. The specific amounts and plan details shall be as follows or as displayed on the Relevant Pages within the Service and/or the Stripe payment screen.
- The payment method shall be credit card payment via the payment processing service "Stripe" designated by our Group, or other payment methods supported by Stripe. Available payment methods can be confirmed on the application page, etc. Paid Users shall provide valid and usable payment method information to the Service.
- By providing a payment method, Paid Users grant our Group the authority to continuously charge the Usage Fees (including applicable taxes, fees, etc.) that Paid Users are obligated to pay under these Paid Terms to the provided payment method.
- The initial charge for Usage Fees will occur on the day the usage contract is established (hereinafter referred to as the "Billing Start Date"). Thereafter, Usage Fees for the following month will be automatically charged on the corresponding day of each month to the Billing Start Date (hereinafter referred to as the "Renewal Date").
- If a contract starts or ends in the middle of a month, no pro-rata calculation will be made, and Usage Fees for one full month will be incurred.
- Paid Users shall keep their Stripe account information or the information of their payment method up-to-date and valid at all times. If a payment fails, the provision of Paid Services may be suspended.
- Payment processing is handled through the payment processor Stripe. Our Group may use payment-related information (transaction history, payment status, etc.) and share it with financial institutions and payment service providers such as Stripe to the extent necessary for processing payments, notifying Users about billing, preventing fraudulent use, and providing related support. Detailed credit card information is securely managed by Stripe, and our Group does not directly retain such information (however, this does not apply to partial information necessary for billing or support, such as the last four digits of a card number, expiration date, etc.). Please also refer to our Group's Privacy Policy and Stripe's Privacy Policy for the specific handling of payment-related information.
- Our Group may change the Usage Fees due to changes in economic conditions, service content, etc. If Usage Fees are changed, our Group will notify Paid Users by 30 days prior to the effective date of the change by posting within the Service, sending email notifications, or by any other method deemed appropriate by our Group. The changed fees will apply from the first Renewal Date after the notification.
Article 5 (Contract Period and Automatic Renewal)
- The contract period for Paid Services shall be one month from the Billing Start Date.
- Unless the Paid User completes the cancellation procedure stipulated in the following Article by the day before the expiration of the period, the contract will be automatically renewed for another month under the same conditions, and so forth.
Article 6 (Cancellation)
- If a Paid User wishes to cancel the Paid Services usage contract or change the number of purchases, they shall complete the cancellation or change procedure by the day before the next Renewal Date, through the prescribed method within the Service (e.g., account settings page, subscription management page, via Stripe's customer portal, etc.). Specific procedures will be guided within the Service.
- If the cancellation procedure is completed, the usage contract will terminate upon the expiration of the contract period, and no further Usage Fees will be charged. If the number of purchases is changed, the billed amount will be adjusted from the timing the change takes effect.
- Even if the cancellation procedure is performed in the middle of the contract period, Paid Services can be used until the expiration date of the contract period. Pro-rata calculation or refund of Usage Fees will not be made (see Article 7).
- If cancellation or appropriate quantity change procedures are not performed, the contract will be automatically renewed, and Usage Fees will be incurred.
Article 7 (Refunds)
Our Group will not issue any refunds for Usage Fees already paid by Paid Users, for any reason whatsoever. However, this shall not apply if Paid Services were unavailable due to willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of our Group, or if a refund is required by law.
Article 8 (Prohibited Conduct)
In using Paid Services, Paid Users shall not engage in the acts prohibited in Article 9 of the Base Terms, nor in the following acts:
- Transferring, lending, selling, pledging, etc., rights obtained through Paid Services (e.g., server listing slots) to a third party without the permission of our Group.
- Creating multiple accounts to unfairly and repeatedly attempt to use initial discount prices.
- Any other acts that interfere with, or are likely to interfere with, the operation of Paid Services.
Article 9 (Suspension, Change, or Termination of Paid Services)
- Our Group may temporarily suspend the provision of Paid Services due to reasons stipulated in Article 20 of the Base Terms.
- Our Group may change the content of Paid Services or terminate their provision due to business reasons, changes in laws, review of service content, etc. If Paid Services are to be terminated, our Group will, in principle, notify Paid Users 30 days in advance.
- In the cases of the preceding two paragraphs, our Group shall, in principle, not be liable for any damage incurred by Paid Users. However, this shall not apply in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of our Group. The handling of Usage Fees in the event of service termination may be stipulated separately.
Article 10 (Disclaimer)
- Our Group makes no warranty, express or implied, that Paid Services will be fit for a Paid User's specific purpose, have the expected functionality or value, be provided without interruption, or be free from defects.
